Inclusive Practices

We believe that every child has the right to full participation in our programs, and access to the same hours and days of attendance.  We support a zero reject principle. To ensure that the needs of every child are met, we enroll children with special needs in keeping with the principle of natural proportions.  Working together with parents, and outside support agencies as applicable, we create individual learning plans that best support learning and developmental goals for children with special needs.  We support the parents by offering additional supports as necessary, in order to ensure that parents are able to participate in planning sessions, meetings, observations etc. at a level they are comfortable with.

We believe in the rights of all children, and are willing to speak out for those rights when necessary. We will seek opportunities to promote the value and necessity of high quality, inclusive childcare.
